Star Trek Beyond: Film Review

Being such a secret sci fi nerd at heart, I was excited to see Star Trek Beyond in 3D. What made my anticipation higher, was working the day before on the midnight screening, and seeing other fans of the film, praise it.  I will say this is a must see in 3D.

After seeing the first two films in this reboot, I thought this one had hard shoes to follow, but it lived up to all the expectations and hype it got. It was in good hands, with the production team, and a phenomenal cast and supporting cast.

I’ll try my best to give a vague review with no spoilers! And the best all I can do is say that it’s not short of action, and has a pretty surprising twist at the end which I think no one will see coming.

It’s a short review, because I don’t want to give anything away. I recommend for everyone to go see it!  If you’re a star trek fan then definitely not!

In memory of Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin. Rest In Peace.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show <3

I had the pleasure of attending a showing of this, on the 20th July 2016, at the Bristol Hippodrome. Attending with a friend, who had no idea what she was getting herself into! This is one of my guilty pleasures.

My make up and hair was done by Ashleigh. It’s a simple Smokey eye, red lip and a plaited bun.

We got great seats in the stalls, so perfect for viewing all the action! And there was no shortage of action! From the start, it’s filled with the amazingly fun song numbers, to lots of raunchy debauchery and dry humping.

Though I must commend the cast for doing such a fantastic job. You all should be so proud. Especially with the well earned standing ovation at the end!

I will be back next year! It was so much fun, it’s now a yearly tradition!

CB12: Product Review.

So a couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure trailing the CB12 boost chewing gum, in order to review the product for my readers!

The product on paper is good. It’s sugar free and scientifically proven to refresh your breath immediately, leaving a cool mint flavour.
I personally am not a fan of chewing gum. But I must say, this chewing gum actually works. It left a nice cool mint taste, and worked from after the first use. I recommend it!

Now You See Me 2: Film Review

Over the weekend, I had the chance to watch now you see me 2: with my partner at the cinema. Now I saw the first film, which I loved. So naturally I had high hopes for the sequel.  I can’t promise if there’ll be spoilers or not, so you have been warned! I also did make a mistake of reading a review of the  movie, on The Rolling Stones site, which wasn’t a positive one.

Saying that, I actually enjoyed the sequel, despite the negative review.

I always will be a huge fan of Dave Franco and Jesse Eisenberg! If I could be in a movie with them, or separate movies each, I’d die literally! Slightly off topic but I admire how Dave Franco is 31 and can still pass off frat guys in Bad Neighbours. I just love the variety of Jesse Eisenberg’s roles, from indie flicks to Lex Luthor.

Also the magic and card tricks in this film, is just unbelievable! I didn’t think the storyline was predictable, and Woody Harrelson is just the funniest person in the entire film. It was also nice to see Daniel Radcliffe in a villain role!

I can only find one negative about the film. That’s the really shallow attempt at a love storyline.

Other then that, I loved it!!!!!!! Will totally watch it again!

The Legend of Tarzan: Film Review

Managed to find the time to go to the cinema with my family, to watch The Legend of Tarzan in 3D. I had my cinema essential which is always a large tango ice blast, and mix of all three flavours (raspberry, cherry, strawberry and kiwi). And a packet of maltesers instead of popcorn.

The film itself was so incredible! The cinematography and scenery in it’s wide shots was phenomenal. Acting by both Aleksander Skaarsgard and Margot Robbie was a matchmade in heaven. It was made for 3D, not 2D so if you get a chance watch it in 3D. I only found one fault, that being even with the 3D glasses, some of the high speed scenes were still a bit blurry.

Other then that, I totally recommend it.

Face of North Wales Pageant.

So on Sunday, 3th July 2016, I got the honour of being a finalist and competing in the pageant. I didn’t win anything or placed, but I had a great time and I wanted to share the experience anyway.

It was held at the Llays Miner Welfare, in Wrexham, North Wales. It was a beautiful venue! My hair and make up in the pageant was done by the amazing, Amy Mason. If you ever need a make up artist, in the Chester area and surrounding, contact her!

I couldn’t get many pictures from the day but I’ll include a few pictures I managed.

Make up by Amy Mason.

Hair by Amy Mason.

I also managed to get pictures of the Welsh countryside. One of my favourite things about Wales!

Congratulations to all the winners of the categories in the pageant. I wish you all the best for your future in pageantry.
