Coolest on Location Photoshoot to date.

I’d like to share a recount on what I call my coolest on location photoshoot to date. This shoot took place back in January 2014. Not only did I get to work with three other talented models, Jo, Sapphira, and Rob. I also got to work with a talented photographer, Sophie Merlo.

It was a gothic-esque shoot due to the location. The location was at Barrow Gurney Hospital, in Somerset. Now a little bit of history about the hospital. It opened in mid 1920’s, and then closed in 2008. It’s a former psychiatric hospital, which after it’s closure was abandoned, when we did the photoshoot on it. Unfortunately now they’re bulldozing the site, and building new houses on the land. So it’s not visitable anymore, which sucks because I would’ve loved to go back.

I managed to get a few exterior shots on my phone.

As well as a creepy corridor shot, selfies, inside one of the rooms, and an artistic staircase shot from my phone!

Now for the cool finished shots from the photoshoot. Photographer: Sophie Merlo.

I must say, I didn’t believe in ghosts or anything supernatural before this shoot. Though while I was on this location, it was beyond creepy, and did feel like there was something else there.  But that was just my experience.

Bath Fashion Museum

First time driving in Bath and as stressful as it was, I got through (with help of a satnav). But it wasn’t for nothing. Spent family time at the Bath Cats and Dogs home, with my mum, sister and brother. My sister and I had some sister bonding time, when visiting the Bath Fashion Museum. We got loads of pictures, which I’ll share here. If you’re ever in Bath, I recommend a visit!

The fashion at the museum, started at 1800’s and went all the way up to modern day. All the dresses were just stunning, and was fantastic to see the evolution of fashion.

Above is all the dresses I just loved. They have beautiful intricate details, from the lace, to the metallic thread. I just wish I could own a replica. Though below, you’ll see that I managed to get two selfies with my top two exhibits. I also felt in my own, when I got to try on a replica dress. The dress was unbelievably heavy, but I did enjoy it, I felt like a socialite from the 18oo’s.

The exhibit also had loads of shoes and accessories. The details on the fans, and a pair of gloves was just unbelievable. Even the jewellery was pretty. There’s so much talent from designers, tailors, seamstresses and dressmakers from the past.

At the end of the exhibit, I decided to design just a modern look to add to their design wall. As fashion is ever evolving. My art skills is minimal.IMAG0790

Dream Photo Shoots with Celebrities: Part 1

I was going to be a numbered list, but I couldn’t pick a number one. If I ever get the chance to do a photoshoot with any of these celebrities, I’d of made it in my dream of being a model. But I’m sensible enough to know, that it’s extremely unlikely to ever happen.

A girl can dream though right ?!

Norman Reedus – The Walking Dead.

I’m the biggest Daryl Dixon fan, and a die hard The Walking Dead fan. I just feel that a photo-shoot with Norman Reedus would be on badass shoot, regardless of whether it’s as a portrayal of Daryl, or just as his pretty shy awkward self. I just imagined it’d be really fun.

Ed Westwick – Gossip Girl.

As having seen, Gossip Girl like a billion times and coming to the conclusion that my favourite character, is Chuck Bass. Doing a classy, sophisticated editorial spread with Ed Westwick would be insane. Why not want to do an editorial spread with a handsome guy?!

  Ben Affleck – Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Being a big DC fan, I was excited and sceptical for the new batman. However, I saw Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and my god Ben Affleck got hot! REgardless of the photoshoot be when he’s in character of the brooding Bruce Wayne, or just as himself. It’ll be a fun imagined photo shoot.

I also realize that this will be too big a post for the full list, so stay tuned for future instalments. Three celebrities per installment.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice review.

I finally got to watch Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. I must admit I had a few sceptical thoughts, while the film was in production; firstly Jesse Eisenberg casted as Lex Luthor, secondly Ben Affleck as batman. Then the list of bad reviews from critics.

But I loved the film. Jesse Eisenberg nailed the portrayal of Lex Luthor.
Ben Affleck nailed a portrayal of a brooding batman. He got compared a lot to Christian Bale’s batman, but Zack Snyder took a different approach then Christopher Nolan.
There was a small issue I had with batman, where he wasn’t able to fit properly in the fight scenes, but that was just where the suit was panels of armour, on top of a already bulked up body. It’s just a simple case of too much weight affecting his movement.

I just can’t wait for all the follow up movies and the Justice League films!
